Through our research on improving asthma, we have partnered with and supported some awesome local organizations with similar missions. Members of our team will be present at various community events such as races and health fairs to spread the word about ADAPT-NC, the patient outcomes, and general asthma awareness and education. March 5 – annual #takesmybreathaway day in memory of our research team member’s daughter, who passed away at age 7 from asthma. Melissa Calvert has transformed the tragedy of Alexandrya’s death into a beautiful message of hope in her book, Takes My Breath Away.
